The Hinoki Cutting Board by Shun is made of hinoki wood, which as been prized in Japan for its beauty, fragrance and antibacterial qualities. The medium-soft wood "gives" as you cut, helping preserve the delicate edges of your fine Shun cutlery. The light-colored wood features a rich, straight grain and a pleasant, fresh scent. The cutting board provides a comfortable 17.75" x 11.75" surface. The wood for this product is grown in Japan and is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified for sustainable forest management practices.
Engraving: Up to 18 characters can be custom laser engraved on this elegant Hinoki Cutting Board.

This is a beautifully made cutting board, and the large size is perfect for all my slicing and dicing. Plenty of room for all my veggies which is nice since I don't have to repeatedly lift it to scoop my veggies into my pan. It's perfect in every way, and I'm very pleased with it. I've never had a cutting board this nice, and I appreciate it so much more. It washes and dries great, too. Super cutting board!

This is a great cutting board. It's nice and soft to help keep knives sharp and is very fragrant wood. I heartily recommend this product and Swiss Knife Shop got it delivered in in reasonable time.
