  • Description
  • The Buck 726 Mini Spitfire Folding Knife is a strong, light lockblade knife created for the outdoors and for everyday carry. It is an even more compact, lightweight version of the bestselling Buck 722 Spitfire, and it weighs in at a mere 2.1 ounces without compromising on performance.

The lockback blade is razor sharp and secure when in use, and thumb holes make the blade easy to open with either hand. The versatile, removable four position stainless steel pocket clip makes it convenient and secure to throw into your pocket on your way out your door.

The drop point shape of this knife means it is full bellied, and has a strong, thick point that makes it rugged enough for heavy tasks. The top of this strong, versatile blade drops down toward the tip, minimizing accidental punctures.

When opened fully, the 2.75-inch blade on the Spitfire locks safely into position with a mid-lock back design. When closed, the knife is 3.74-inches for convenient everyday carry.

The blade of the 726 Mini Spitfire Knife is made of satin finish 420HC stainless steel, as this material has both exceptional corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of RC58 through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.

When the blade is fully opened, it locks securely into place. The lock is released by pushing down on the rocker visible in the center of the knife's back and folding the blade closed.

The handles of the Spitfire Knife are anodized aluminum for strength and weight.

Engraving: Up to 8 characters can be engraved on the blade of the Buck 726 Mini Spitfire Folding Knife.

    Just the size pocket knife

Just the size pocket knife I wanted, and it had to be made in America to suit me. The blade is very sharp, the construction is sturdy, however I was preferring a bit more of a finger guard from the blade and would have liked a bit of serration at the base of the blade. I also find that all of the machined edges are pretty sharp, like inside the slot when the blade is open. One could cut themselves just sliding a thumb up the handle. I hate to mar the finish by trying to sand or file it smoother, but I might try that. Same thing with the finger slot on the release notch. I’m sure it would take a long time to get a natural bit of wear to smooth these edges. Otherwise I am really happy with the knife.
