Just like it's larger siblings, the blade of the No.2 is made from high-quality European stainless steel. It is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of 55-57, optimized to ensure corrosion resistance and superior performance. The razor-sharp blade holds its edge, even when used with hard materials, ensuring a lifetime of performance.
The grind of the No.2's blade is convex, which minimizes contact between the sides of the blade and the material being cut, prolonging the sharp edge's life. This grind also makes the blade extremely strong and allows Opinel to put a remarkably sharp edge on it.
Crafted in the French Alps, this folding pocket knife features a tinted and varnished hornbeam handle with a hole at the end with a keyring and keychain.
