The Helle Mandra Les Stroud Design Knife is a small, versatile everyday knife. The small blade is well proportioned and made from triple-laminated Helle stainless steel (H3LS).
The handle of the Mandra is hand crafted from curly birch wood. While it is small, it fits into virtually any hand comfortably, with a full grip for small hands and a three-finger grip for larger hands.
This small but powerful knife comes with a genuine leather sheath featuring a belt loop and snap closure for an easy and secure carry, and accompanied with a leather lanyard for neck carry.
This knife is named for the Romanian word for "proud," as Les Stroud, the designer, tested and used this knife while filming Survivorman and living off the land in the Romanian Alps.
This beautiful, practical knife is hand made in Holmedal, Norway by Helle's highly skilled artisans in the Helle factory, which is perched on the edge of a fjord. No two Helle knives are identical, as they are handcrafted with natural materials, but they are all inspected manually after the crafting process is complete to ensure perfection.

The Helle Norway Story
Helle knives are crafted by hand in the Helle factory, which is situated in the village of Holmedal, Norway on the edge of a beautiful fjord. The factory was founded in 1932, and while it has evolved from the factory initially operated without electrical power, the hands of skilled craftsmen are still its cornerstone.
Helle knives, though beautiful, are made to be used and are rugged enough to stand up to the wild mountains, fjords and open seas that surround the factory. They are designed and made by people who use them in this wild environment. In other words, they stand up to the real world.
Each Helle knife is unique, as it is hand made from natural materials.
